Self-proclaimed Lord Disick has always flaunted a wealthy lifestyle. For starters, Scott owns a $3.25 million property in the affluent Hidden Hills, California and he does nothing to hide his expensive taste in clothes, watches, women, and cars among other things.
Once, during a trip to England Disick even paid to get a knighting ceremony, where he was officially given the title of the Lord.
The actor and TV personality is rumoured to have an estimated net worth of $20 million and his annual salary is said to be about $4 million. However, Lord Disick’s sources of his riches have remained a kind of a mystery to us as well as to people around him.
And the question remains: Where does all this money come from?
The ex-boyfriend of Kourtney Kardashian is said to have become famous after appearing on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and its spin-offs.
Is this all there is to Scott’s wealth?
In keeping up with the hunky New Yorker, let’s take a look at Scott Disick and at all of his business ventures so far.
Modelling For YA Romance Novels
Before Scott became a part of the Kardashians and way before he bought a knighthood off the internet, he was the fantasy of romance novel readers.
In his late teens, he was featured on the cover of several young romance books and you can find his young hunky self in novels by Lauren Brooke, a pen name used by authors Linda Chapman and Beth Chambers.
Pretty face Disick also modelled for the Heartland series, One Day You’ll Know and Taking Chances, portraying the protagonist’s love interest with whom he appears on the cover.
Back then, Scott was described as a subdued awkward teenager by fellow models – a very different persona from the confident reality star that we see today.
Although he hasn’t been open about his pay for the photos, for a young man his age, the attention must have certainly paid off.
Probably the attention he got must have gone to his head, as he was regarded as a troubled youngster, with a few DUI arrests on his profile, while still in high school.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians
As an unofficial member of the ever-growing KarJenner clan, Scott has been making money for just being himself. Due to his relationship with the eldest Kardashian sister Kourtney, he features in Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
His appearances on the reality show have provided some insight into his personal life and business dealings.
When the show started to make spin-offs, he naturally joined the bandwagon and since then he made appearances on Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami, Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons, and Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
Back in 2017, KUWTK was reportedly making up to $10m per Season. Divided by 20 episodes per season, the pay came down to $500k per episode. The money is divided accordingly- to the main and minor members of the clan.
Since then and a few spin-offs later, the Kardashians’ reality shows are making much more, and our boy Scott is still part of the growing empire.
According to TMZ, he is said to be making about $4 million every year from KUWTK and the various spin-offs.
Talentless Clothing Line
A hoodie for about $140, is that within your budget?
Well, that’s just a taste of what Scott Disick’s Talentless clothing line has to offer. The ironically named brand was launched in the third quarter of 2018 and its name was possibly inspired by his former manager David Weintraub.
After falling out, David was quoted trashing his former friend; “He always felt like he was entitled, but like you’ve really got to have talent. When you’re lucky to be famous, and you’re lucky to make money, it’s different.”
In a true Scott Disick move instead of taking the “entitled yet talentless” insult at heart, he, on the contrary, chose to own it.
On the ‘about us’ of the brand’s sales portal he answered back perfectly, at all of his doubting haters :
Talentless is a homage to the new wave of creators, innovators, and influencers who’ve made a name for themselves by going against the conventions of what it means to be “talented.”
Night Club Gigs
Rumour has it that Scott started going for club appearances to prove he could have a ‘job’ away from KUWTK, something that he has been occasionally mocked about. Or was it to probably in an attempt of escaping from Kris Jenner’s grip?
We’ll probably never know…
What is obvious though is the fact that the publicity he got from KUWTK worked wonders for his club gigs’ fees. Scott is said to earn about $50,000 for appearances and sometimes his fees may be up to $70,000 by just spending a few hours at some clubs. At some point, it’s rumoured that he made a total of $250,000 after a few appearances in the UK.
Sometimes, such gigs come with perks such as first-class travel and accommodation. Still, he has a long way to go and make his gigs more lucrative.
Big names such as Drake and Nikki Minaj reportedly make an estimated $200,000 per hour for their club appearances!
Monte Carlo Perpetual Tan
Are you into tanning? You might have come across a self-tanning product with the tagline “It’s like liquid sunshine”.
Lord Disick, in his wisdom, decided to give tanning a try and he went on to produce and launch his very own men’s tanning gel.
When he was asked about the venture by RadarOnline, he quipped, “I love the sun, but now that Mason’s in my life, I’m always looking for better ways to be more healthy, so I’ve developed this new self-tanning product called Monte Carlo that gives you colour year-round and even has an anti-ageing gel in it.”
A look at online stores, however, paints a picture of a product line that is either dead or doing poorly.
On Amazon, a search of the gel shows only one item with the description; ‘Currently unavailable. We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock’.
By all indications, the venture may have gone belly up and Scott is ready to move on to his next exploit.
RYU- Japanese Restaurant In New York
After dining at many exclusive joints, Lord Disick decided to turn his passion into work when he proceeded to open a restaurant, back in 2012 in the Meatpacking District, NYC.
To accomplish his dreams of owning a trendy eatery, Scott enlisted the help of renowned New York restaurateurs Chris Reda and Jesse Carmack.
After having followed thorough market research, Disick decided to go for a Japanese joint, upon realizing that not many Japanese joints were located on the far west side of Manhattan.
During the RYU-Japanese restaurant’s grand opening on April 23, 2012, the KarJenners were well represented as Kendall, Kylie, Kourtney, Kim, Kris, Kanye attended the opening and applauded Disick for his newest business venture.
The joint looked set to make a killing.
Scott even envisioned expansion; he was quoted by the US Weekly, “I can see opening up an L.A. restaurant in about six to eight months.” The dream was short-lived because things started falling apart within five months.
Scott’s itinerary put him away from New York, for most of the time, leaving him less and less time to spend on the restaurant.
That is when he decided to part ways with the hotel and sold his shares.
At the time, the management fought off rumours that the eatery was closing down but sadly, it shut its doors altogether by the end of October 2012.
Amidren, Menopause Supplements For Men
Have you heard of men’s maximum performance supplement AMIDREN High-T? Not only has Scott tried and loved his ‘great experiences’ with the product, but he also partnered with Sera-Pharma Labs to introduce the supplement.
Amidren is formulated to help men between the ages of 20 and 40 notch-up their vitality in the bedroom, the gym, or outdoors. It is also said to fight the symptoms of andropause in older men.
“It’s a phenomenal product for all-around performance,” Scott shilled to GoaG. “If there is anything you’re lacking whether you want to lose body fat or get your hair a little bit better than it was. It’s an all-around great performance product. It’s dedicated to the younger male as young as 35-40.”
The supplement was introduced at the Chelsea Hotel New York on 8th November 2010. Alongside Scott Disick, celebrities Kim and Courtney Kardashian and Frank Vincent were also attendees.
Also present was the president of Sera-Pharma, Gerard Dante, the president of VitaQuest Keith Frankel and Victor Martinez.
Like in many of his venture, little is known about how much Scott has made or whether he is still making from the male supplement line.
Private Label Manufacturing In The Nutrition Biz
This is another one of the many unclear businesses that the big talking Lord is involved in. The shady part comes due to the fact that he does not offer any details about the ventures – which is within his rights if we might add.
According to him, “I have done a lot of private label manufacturing in the nutrition biz and have raised money for startup companies. I tend to invest money into nightlife businesses for the friends of mine that are involved in nightclubs and whatnot.”
When probed by Life&Style about his career, he answered, “I make a lot of money, and I’m more than capable of supporting myself. I run multiple companies in the vitamin world — QuickTrim, Rejuvacare, Monte Carlo Perpetual Tan.”
Good for you Scott! It seems that you are doing well, there is no denying that!
Sponsored Social Media Content
Scott Disick’s Instagram has over 22.4 million followers, ranking amongst the most followed celebrities on social media.
His numbers, however, pale in comparison to the other members of KUWTK, as Kim has over 144 million and ex-girlfriend Kourtney has over 80.5 million followers and counting.
His online following, however, is still huge enough to make him a social media influencer, and him knowing this, he only makes sure to milk every penny from his status by promoting various products and services, while his Instagram account, is said to earn $15,000-$20,000 per sponsored content.
The venture involves painting a product in a good light, which would make it look enticing enough for followers to purchase it.
Sounds simple right? Not so much for Scott Disick.
While promoting Bootea, a weight loss drink, Scott ended up making the post followed by the exact copying-pasting instructions, as he had received them from his client. Failing to cut the adjunct bits of the instructions, the Lord spotted his funny mistake rather quickly and reposted the product!
Fun fact: The Lord still continues to promote the brand.
Manager At GNC?
Scott has claimed that he works for GNC, a Pittsburgh-based company. It deals with the manufacture and sale of beauty and health products. Its famous products include Rejuvacare, Lean Shake, and Alani Nu Balance Capsules. The brand is a successful one since it adheres to a large demographic: to both children and adults.
Now back to Lord Disick. He has long maintained that he works for GNC as a manager. According to him among the products that he oversees include (his) Monte Carlo Perpetual Tan, QuickTrim and Rejuvacare.
On the other hand, according to Page Six, the health chain has no association with Scott. GNC spokesman Laura Brophy is quoted saying, “Scott Disick does not work for GNC and the company has no business relationship with him.”
Her take on the issue was further enforced and after taking a look at the company’s official website, there is no reference to Scott’s tanning gel and Quicktrim, the products whose manufacturers he supposedly manages.
Flip it Like Disick
Finally, here is an opportunity for Scott to show his professional side and indulge in his real passion while at it! This reality show by the name Flip it Like Disick is all about Scott and his team flipping and remodelling some high-end homes, owned by close friends and family.
This won’t be the first reality show hosted by Scott, as he has already attempted to host another one, Lord Disick; the Lifestyles of a Lord, back in 2013 which flopped miserably.
The show was meant to give Scott’s fans a peek of his lavish lifestyle and also intended to give tips as to how to live this kind of life. How many of his fans could identify with that kind of life?
Apparently, the fanbase wasn’t enough to keep the show going.
Back to Flip it Like Disick, Scott seems to already have renovation favours from his family lined up way ahead of the show’s premiere; he shares this with Kylie Mar on Yahoo News.
Working alongside him and to make the show more interesting is his best friend and business partner Benny Luciano, real estate agent Kozet (Benny’s wife), contractor Miki Moor, Willa Ford, an interior designer, and Scott’s personal assistant Lindsay Diamond.
The show already premiered on 4th August 2019, and like his other ventures, it has already received positive and negative reviews…well mostly negative reviews.
Based on his previous flops and the fact that not many people see ‘the businessman’ in Scott, only time will tell whether this particular project will succeed or not!
Best of luck to him!
One of the questions on most people’s lips concerning Scott is whether he would have any riches to flaunt without the Kardashians’ influence. This was more so after his split from Courtney Kardashian back in 2015.
In his defence, this is what Scott had for Us Weekly, “I’ve been making money since I was a kid, and I’ll keep making money so I am not worried about it…”
Whether he is talking about his teenage modelling years or his parents’ riches, it is apparent that Scott came from money. His grandfather David Disick was a successful Wall Street attorney and a real estate developer. Upon his death, he left Scott’s parents his fortune.
There were rumours of Scott’s parents losing their fortune but there is no evidence to substantiate such claims. That said, it is very likely that Scott had some good money to his name besides earnings from his involvement with the Kardashians and other ventures.
